How It All Began
Meet the owners of Happy Jacks Barbeque, Allyn and Sheila Robinson! We are transplants from Texas and have been living and working in northeast Colorado since 1999. Around 2006, we began to build our smoker out of a 1,000-gallon anhydrous tank that we had been dragging around for years. By 2007, we had it finished and started smoking meat again for friends, family, and fundraisers. From that activity grew the catering side of the business (R&B Catering), which has grown through the years. Weddings, corporate events, reunions, and parties have kept us busier and busier.
In 2015, we purchased the property at 130 East Denver Street in Holyoke, Colorado to operate our growing catering business. In 2017, we opened our dining room for dine-in and carry-out service and renamed our restaurant and catering business, Happy Jacks BBQ Restaurant and Catering. Happy Jack was a nickname my great grandfather used to call me, and we thought it was appropriate to use.
We love what we do, love to share it, and appreciate that our product seems to be well received. We strive to make your event a success with great barbeque and service. Come by and let us share with you a little bit of Texas!
